Lifting to Inspire 2 (SkillLab)
SESSION FOLLOW UP
Signature Voice
We investigated what makes up a 'signature voice,' anchoring in communication styles unique to each of us. We also deepened our appreciation of 'voices' different from our own, recognizing that a diversity of styles is key to any highly functioning team.
HOMEWORK
Part 1 — This, Not That
Learn
Find a small time out to really digest the summary card for “your” style.
Take note of the secondary influences!
Internal Reflection
How is, or isn't, this style like you?
What resonates?
Synthesize
Through a “do more (THIS) / do less (NOT THAT)” list, better understand and appreciate your style.
What communication superpowers could you do MORE OF in your team/career, at this time?
What do you need to be mindful of, and DO LESS of?
Prepare to Share
Plan to share back your list when we next meet.
Include any unique insights, challenges, or opportunities revealed through reflection.
Part 2 — Capstone: Tiny Talk
Proactively picking a moment to supercharge.
Identify
Pick an important moment in the near future, when you would like to intentionally level up your leadership presence.
This might be “big” (major presentation) or “small” (1:1 pitch or conversation)
Explore
What’s at stake for you?
What is the setting?
Who is the audience?
Where do you feel prepared already?
What makes you anxious?
Prepare to Share
Be ready to share in our next session, and we’ll use this to apply all of our future learning and tools.
